uncle dan sent us a lovely amaryllis plant for christmas. zack has had fun watching it grow from just bulbs to the giant flower it is now.

penny had a fabulous time at her friend madisyn's first birthday party the other day (once she woke up!). here she is hanging out with gal pal geena. geena is exactly three months older than penny. so cute...

penny has discovered her hand. this came in handy (really, no pun intended) during the long wait at the doctor's office the other day.

battling a tough case of cradle cap, miss penny sported a new 'do today -- the selsun blue hairdo (we're not crazy...the doctor actually recommended it!)

weird thing: yesterday, after returning home from a quick trip to whole foods (yes, i took zack to whole foods in his jammies, so what?), he was so zonked out that it seemed no matter what i did, he would not wake up. it was like he was hypnotized or something.

after about 10 minutes, i was finally able to wake him so that he could eat some lunch. afterwards, he took a FOUR hour nap (no kidding). i guess he was tired!
