summer fun with meme and papa

meme and papa visited this past weekend and slept over 2 nights. we all had so much fun - we went to the "feast of st. rocco", the beach, and spend a load of quality time playing together!

since we purchased an oversand permit for the summer, we've been frequenting duxbury beach with some good friends. this week, penny had such a good time with tyler and andrew. the three of them were so cute together....

lake at the cape

here are some pics from our trip to the cape a couple of weeks ago to visit our friend betsy. the kids had a good ol' time feeding the duckies at the lake...and zack, clearly, loved wearing betsy's goggles.

ogunquit

we've finally recovered enough from our trip to ogunquit to post some pics. the town is great and we enjoyed it, but our little friends are still a bit tricky to travel with. they did great sleeping in the same room, though!

a visit from auntie

this year, mom headed to brimfield with her pal heather (sorry, penny and zack!). we were all so lucky to have lots of quality time with her - we took a trip to the beach, to the farm, to "tarjay", and even went out to dinner. thanks for coming up to visit, auntie heather!

blueberry picking and the "jungle"

the little keenans stopped by grampy and nonnie's yard yesterday to pick a few blueberries and check out "the jungle" in the way back of the yard. zack insisted that mommy "go away" and "stay by the blueberry bushes" so they could explore on their own. i caught my first glimpse into what his teenage years will be like : (

meme and papa visit

meme and papa came to visit this past weekend. penny is so smitten with her papa, can you tell? also, zack and pen had a great time jumping on and building "houses" with the cushions while mom washed the covers to their chairs.

border cafe

yesterday, we met up with paula (mom's old boss from her work/study job at Radcliffe) at the border cafe in harvard square. the kids waited very patiently outside the restaurant and barely made a peep during lunch. not sure why they were so mellow, but i think buying them each a bulldozer gift (read:bribe) minutes before may have helped.
