double whammy!

penny decided to CRAWL and say her first word today -- MAMA!

penny finally fits into the adoreable shoes mom bought her in block island last summer. at the time they seemed sooo tiny, but it's taken her over 7 months to fit into them!

loving his sister...

lately, zack can't get enough of penny. he's turned (though probably briefly) into her biggest fan. here are some highlights from this week:

zack has been saying "penny on truck", asking that we put her on... (though sometimes he changes his mind and regrets this..)together on the big chair...

"hold penny", asking to hold her. awwww....

double bath

zack and penny shared their first bath together! fun for them, kinda stressful for mom (tricky logistics, getting them out and dried, etc...)

things we do on rainy days

we build forts,we take pictures of ourselves in the bathroom mirror,
we put on sunglasses just for fun (zack calls them "movie stars"),
maybe the rain isn't so bad after all.

one sunny day

we literally had one sunny day this week:

chomp, chomp, chomp...

i think penny is wanting some of her big brother's solid foods, don't you? (notice how he gets immediately jealous and says "all done!" a bunch of times. silly guy.)
