when we ask zack this question, he rubs mommy's belly and even gives it kisses. couldn't be sweeter...

is he home yet?

zack has started a new afternoon ritual -- peering out the window of the playroom to see if dad is on his way home (or at least that's what i imagine he's doing....) maybe he's just bored of his toys and is hoping something better will show up?

california dreamin'...

our long weekend trip went by so fast it seems like it was a dream! zack finally got to meet our wonderful friends (& lots of new kids too!) in san francisco. we visited tons of people and had some really fun playdates/picnics at the park. best of all, zack didn't even cry once on either of the 6-hour plane rides! that sort of behavior is going to get him rewarded with more trips!

a surprise visit from my friend madi!

guess who stopped by the other day to visit zack on the way home from cape cod? madisyn drew! (along with her parents teresa and krys) madi watched zack eat while she played with some of his toys. zack couldn't believe how big madisyn is getting -- she's going to catch up to him if he doesn't look out!

fun with nancy and juniper!

the other day, we spent the afternoon hanging out with a couple of our favorite people -- nancy and juniper! zack loved checking out the different toys (this one is nancy's from when she was a wee one). juniper is getting so big!

it seems that whenever zack says a new word or does something out of the ordinary, there is noone else around to witness it other than mom and dad. so we were pretty excited to catch him saying "hi" on this video as he practiced walking with dad...

i like big butts and i cannot lie....

for about 2 1/2 months, we've been partaking in a bold experiment here at the keenan home -- cloth diapers! i have to say, i don't know what took me so long to get going with them. i mean, sure, they can be a bit tricky sometimes (i'll spare everyone the gory details), but in general, they're just as convenient as disposables -- without the chemicals or trash factor. i have learned, however, that for overnight trips, disposables are still the way to go. dealing with cloth at home is one thing...but noone wants to cart them around on long trips!

dancing fool

we took zack out to dinner tonight (knock wood, he's still fantastic in restaurants). the only scene he caused was this one -- dancing to some inxs. we can't guarantee he's not going to have terrible taste in music...

out to lunch!

yesterday, zack enjoyed lunch at sepracor (to celebrate his 11-month birthday!) with nonnie and grampy. he got a ridiculous amount of attention and even scored some swag -- check out the new sepracor bib! we did not, however, give him a lunesta to help him sleep through his teething pain last night. sorry, too young!

today is grampy dave's birthday! zack loves to visit his grampy, espeically to go out to lunch and to go pick blueberries at his house. it's the best!

a denning instinct

for some reason, the past few days, zack has been managing to crawl under and into the tiniest spaces...under his exersaucer, under tables and chairs...

the only problem is that he often realizes he can't get himself out and panics! keeping mom busy, for sure!

nyc for number 2

this past weekend, tim and laura headed to nyc with pals laura and corey with babies-to-be in tow (we're due only 5 days apart!).

we had dinner with auntie tara and uncle ryan and then got to see ryan in the broadway production of "grease"!

baby #2 was clearly loving it...moving and groving to the music the entire time....i guess grease is the word!
