monkeying around

zack and penny are really starting to pal around together. (the video below might look like it has a black screen, but if you hit the play arrow, it should work).

5K!

zack & penny participated (via stroller) in their first 5K to support the Medway Community Farm (mom is the education chair and secretary of the board, so they really didn't have much choice in the matter!) the rain held off 'till the very end and it was a great time! thanks also to grampy & nonnie for their support as well!

basketball and a pillow

zack decided this afternoon that today was THE day -- the day he was going to wrap up his binkies for baby william (our friend sophie's new baby brother) and receive the present and big-boy pillow we've been promising as a reward. (we've been wanting to ditch the binky ever since his dentist recommended doing so back in september...)

as his present, zack picked out a new basketball from target and is sleeping with it as i write this. sadly, he did struggle and cry for about an hour, but we're hoping tomorrow goes a bit smoother. go zack!

snuggle time

dad caught this photo of mom reading a bedtime book to penny and zack. it was one of those rare, sweet moments where they're not fighting over the same toy, chasing one another, or getting into some sort of mischief. just pure snuggle-time....

bad mommy...

today we had a super fun visit to ava and geena (and mom catherine)'s house, where she treated us to a fabulous (and allergy-safe!) lunch. we then headed to aetna, where we surprised meme with a very-unexpected visit. photos? nope. mom forgot the camera. we had fun and the kids were cute, take my word for it!

abba dabba visit

grandpa keenan (grandpa abba dabba) came for a visit this weekend. per usual, he came bearing some fantastic gifts! the biggest hit was the new lawnmower, of course. we all had a great time, playing out in the yard, going out to dinner, and reading books together.

silly rabbits

zack and penny had a wonderful easter. they loved waking up to find what the easter bunny had left, tried their first peeps, and spent the day at meme & papa's house, where they were treated to an egg hunt and two more baskets full of goodies (including sunglasses for both, a purse & hair clips for penny and beach toys galore).

children's museum

the earlier part of this week was wet and soggy, so we hit up another local children's museum...
