sunflower and mazie

zack had a perfect first day of fall, visiting the belkin family lookout farm! he got to ride the train through the orchards, play on the fun playground, and visit with animals like cows, emus, and these goats, named sunflower and mazie!

zack was so excited to finally ride his tractor with dad today. so cute, i just can't stand it...

can't wait....

on the way home from heather and andrew's wedding in new york, mom and dad picked up this sweet little tractor, which is very similar to dad's. zack looks wistfully out the window, anxious to ride it again. an instant favorite!

out post farm

as a fun change of pace, we packed up and headed over to out post farm for lunch this past saturday. we all enjoyed fresh turkey sandwiches with stuffing and cranberry sauce. well, except for zack. he had plain turkey meat, but loved it all the same!

another celebration!

today, zack celebrated his 1st birthday yet again with his pals from the moms group we're in. three of them were born the same week and another is celebrating his first birthday this week. lots of fun...though zack definitely isn't a fan of the elastic band on the party hat...


so pooped from all the fun, zack snoozed on the 3-minute ride home!

weekend with grammy & papa lou

this past weekend, mom and dad spent the weekend at a bed & breakfast in new york to celebrate heather and andrew's wedding. zack was lucky enough to stay with grammy and papa lou. they celebrated zack's official birthday with a visit from kenny, sharon & lauren and a big piece of cake for the birthday boy. of course, the visit wouldn't be complete without settling into his favorite chair. look how much he's grown since his 2nd month!

one more day!

we were able to sneak in one more beach day today -- zack was really great and played, played, played the whole time. it's the packing stuff up part that still is tricky for mom....how will she ever do it with two!?

it's september...

zack was feeling the "back to work / school" blues today as he began his post-labor day weekend commute... but the swings (and the summerlike weather) still made him smile...

a big weekend!

this weekend, grandpa keenan flew in to spend some quality time with his favorite grandson...and to help celebrate his upcoming 1st birthday! we had so much fun on this gorgeous day surrounded by zack's favorite family members...
