three guys and little lady

this past weekend, mom took off to long island for a girls weekend (i know, i know....i've been spoiled a little bit lately). grandpa keenan (abba dabba) flew in for a visit with his son and favorite grandkids. blueberry picking, out to dinner both nights, playground time -- looks like the keenan men handled the kids just fine!

is it september yet?

today, zack and mom had a special "adventure" and went to an open house at zack's preschool. to say he was thrilled is a complete understatement. he was so excited, he could barely focus on one activity and was sure to get a turn doing everything. he's going to love september. :)

the harvest

zack and penny came along with mom the other day on a cooler, wet morning to see the 4th graders harvest the greens from their plot at the farm. they were so good about walking in the pathways (not on the plants) and thought it was very exciting that i let them spray the hose a couple of times.

beach tent

we have a sun-blocking beach tent from when the kids were infants and there was actually a sliver of a chance of them sitting still for more than 3 seconds. since we won't be using it at the beach anymore, i thought it might be a fun addition for our playroom. it's now become a cozy place where they snuggle, read, and pretend to open the "shed". quiet moments like this make all the chaos worthwhile.
