easter prep

like most holidays, easter is getting to be more fun with the kids as they get older. this week, while the easter bunny was hard at work getting all the candy and toys ready for the big day, zack and penny were hard at work coloring pics, creating paper eggs, dying easter eggs, and meeting the easter bunny! here are a few highlights.

zack and his first egg-dying experience. here he waits for the tablets to fizz and dissolve.the eggs are in! you almost can't tell that they're wooden eggs (still no real eggs allowed for us!)poking and prodding, giving a stir.

ok, so this egg dying experience was NOT our most exciting, martha stewart moment. but zack had fun (oh, penny would not participate....go figure.) but he had fun coloring them later with pencils anyhow. there's always next year!

yarn bombed

zack caused a little bit of mischief yesterday in mom & dad's bedroom when he got his hands on my skeins of yarn. he called me upstairs, told me he had a surprise for me and was clearly really proud of what he did.

how could i be angry? so cute. i think we may have a future installation artist on our hands!
