round 2

today, sweet penny sue had her second laser treatment on her port wine stain. things went really well, though we're all pretty tired from such a long day. penny was very brave and as patient and nice as could be. what a nice surprise it was for her to come home with her new spring sandals waiting for her! (yes, it's wishful thinking ordering them so soon...as it's in the 30s today). they're a bit big right now, but we're thinking her little piggies are gonna grow.

zack's new pasttime is looking for "fuzzies" in his toes... yes, its been a long winter for us all!

with spring training just around the corner, one little sox fan is getting excited!

my funny valentines

zack & penny had a great valentines day - they got lots of valentines in the mail (thanks to aunt pat, meme, papa, grampy, and nonnie!) and spent the day at meme & papa's house, where they had some quality time with auntie ri and uncle al and auntie tara & uncle ryan. what lucky little love bugs they are!

miss mendon diner

mom did the unthinkable today and took both kids to breakfast...by herself. it wasn't so bad, actually. zack loved the jukebox and penny spent most of the time chewing on cold apples to help soothe her gums (her third tooth is fianally making an appearance! - how she's been eating things like chips, hot dogs, fries, etc etc. without any top teeth is beyond me). it was a litttle tricky, however, to enjoy my eggs with two kids on either side of me who can't eat eggs. luckily, they were kept busy with fruit and jelly packets (to play with, not eat).

just a little break..

a special thanks to meme, papa, grampy & nonnie for all pitching in and helping out with zack & penny so mom and dad could escape to the turks & caicos for a little rest and relaxation. it was especially so nice of meme and papa to uproot and come to our house for 4 days so we didn't have to schep the kids down to ct -- and we couldn't be more thankful!!

sadly, both kiddos have been sick for the past week. actually, the entire household has been hit hard by some angry virus. until we're able to reintroduce ourselves into society, thank goodness for elmo. zack and penny are a bit enthralled, can you tell?
